They saw a significant 15% increase in digital sales.

Shortly after this release, Penguin announced its interest in acquiring Simon & Schuster which was put up for sale after its parent company, Viacom, merged with CBS earlier this year.

Orbit's Acquisition Announcement

Orbit has released details on one of their recent manuscript acquisitions. They’re clearly excited about this title by “Columbia University and Sarah Lawrence MFA instructor Lincoln Michel’s sci-fi thriller The Body Scout, a diamond-sharp and savagely wry portrait of an all-too-possible future where the human body is just another product.” It’s so early in the deal there is no release date but The Body Scout might just be a title to keep in mind.

Small God Series

The Small God Series is an experimental, quirky project done between artist Lee Moyer and author Seanan McGuire. Three times a week, the pair develops a flash poetic piece about a small god. Some of the gods they’ve created so far are The Small God of Inappropriate Laughter, The Small God of Wishful Obituaries, The Small God of the Munchies, and The Small God of Extra-Spectral Colors. The art is incredible and the prose is delightful. Take a break today and read about a small god.
